Paper Abstract:      MPEG-21 proposed a distribution model based on all parties’ role in digital content value chain. Many standardization organizations as well as MPEG-21 in order to implement the distribution model exist. The paper proposes weak points of the MPEG-21 distribution model and a new distribution model in a viewpoint of protecting all participants’ rights. Many points like metadata, license processing, and trusted client should be considered to implement the distribution model. However, the paper focuses on how to implement only contract to protect all parties’ rights.
